Trimble Access Setup - Bluetooth

HydroLite-PLUS Pre Connection Setup

1. Connect the Transducer to the HydroLite-Plus. 
2. Turn on the Hydrolite Plus.
3. On your windows data collector or PC pair the device via Bluetooth.
   
   • Device ID: HYDROLITE####(serialized per device)
   • Password: SEAFLOOR
4. On your windows PC or data collector open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers (Win 11 when in Hardware and Sound, right click Devices and printers and select Open in New Window)
5. Scroll down until you find your newly paired device and double click it.
6. Select the Hardware Tab and take note of the COM port being used. In the below example COM26 is being used.
   
7. Install the appropriate Echo Logger control program. Downloadable via Seafloors website: https://www.seafloorsystems.com/manuals
   Note: The single frequency control program differs from the dual frequency program
8. Open the Control Program and connect to your device.
   • EchoSounder COM port: Derived from step 6
   • EchoSounder Baud: 115200(default)
   • GPS: None
9. Change the Output Mode. Below is an example from the single frequency control program.
   • Single Frequency use Hydrolite OLD
   • Dual Frequency use Hydrolite DFX
     
10. Press Apply.

Trimble Access Bluetooth Pairing

1. In Trimble Access go to Main Menu > Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
2. Select your Hydrolite### from the drop down for echo sounder if you used you data collector to complete the "HydroLite-PLUS Pre Connection Setup". If not press Search, and complete the bluetooth pairing.
   • Password: SEAFLOOR
     
     
     
   • Once you have paired the device assign it to the "echo sounder" connection.

Trimble Access Survey Style

1. The easiest method is to Copy a pre-existing survey style with the measuring hardware you will be using in conjunction with the echo sounder. Example:
   • VRS 2020
   • VRS 94
   • VX & S Series
   • SX10 & SX12
2. Go to Main Menu > Settings > Survey Styles
   
3. Highlight the appropriate survey style and select copy.
   
4. Give it an appropriate name. Press Enter. Press Accept
   
5. Press Edit on your newly created survey style
   
6. Press edit on Echo Sounder
   
7. Select the following options:
   • Type:
     • Hydrolite-PLUS single frequency - SonarMite
     • Hydrolite-PLUS dual frequency - SonarMite DFX
   • Controller Port: Bluetooth
   • Latency: 0.0s
   • Draft: 0.000 (draft will only need to be used if you are using an autonomous vessel with an integrated transducer)
     
8. Press Accept.
9. Press Store.
