Trimble S Series/SPS Instrument Connecting to 12D Field (T10/TSC7/T7 only)

Download and install 12D Model v15

Download and install Trimble Installation Manager (online version) from:
https://install.trimble.com/

Run Trimble Installation Manager. Navigate to Controller > Trimble Access. Deselect all checkboxes and press install. This will install backend licensing of your data collector.

A Trimble account will need to be activated for 12d Trimble Licensing.

If an account has not been set up, click on the link below and register your details.

Open 12D Field v15

Navigate to Survey > 12d Field > 12d Field Utilities > Licensing > Trimble Precision licensing

Enter your Trimble ID credentials created earlier. Press Submit.

Start Connection to Trimble S Series/SPS Instrument

Start-up 12d. Select Survey > 12D Field > 12 Field

Select your instrument (Trimble S Series, SPS or Spectra Series)

Untick “Wake Up Radio” Enter the surveyors name Select “Set”

Select “Single Radio”

Select the Com Port your radio uses with the T10 Tablet (chooses between COM12, 13, 14 and 15) TSC7 will only have one Com Port.

TSC7 and T7, Open “Empower Hub” and the COM port will be displayed.

To find Com Port, search through Windows “Device Manager” and select “Ports (COM & LPT)”

Enter the Radio Channel and Network ID the instrument is set to.

Once you have the correct settings (radio channel, network id and com port), 12d Field will do a search

using those settings.

If there is no connection, check all configuration settings (last image)

Once connection has been made, the 12d Field – Setout tab will appear on the screen.
