Spectra Focus50 Connection

Connection between Spectra Focus50 and 12d Field is only compatible with Version 15 of 12D Field.

Trimble SDK Version 3.7 will need to be launched on the device.

Please request this file through UPG or 12d Support.

Copy .exe to desktop and launch. Follow the prompts and Trimble SDK will be installed on your device.

A Trimble account will need to be activated for 12d Trimble Licensing.

If an account has not been set up, click on the link below and register your details. https://support.trimble.com/services/Accounts/register

Open Windows. Select C Drive > Program Files > 12d > 12dmodel > 12.00 > 12dfield > trimble > license

Right click “TrimbleLicenser” and select “Run As Administrator”.

Username (email address for Trimble ID) and password to be entered in the 12d Trimble Licensing

Credentials.

Open 12d Verison 15 Start a new project or open an existing project   

Select “Survey”  

Select the instrument by clicking on the drop down arrow.Select “12d Field > 12d Field”   

Select the instrument by clicking on the drop down arrow.
Select “TPS - S Series”
Wake up time (sec): 10
Enter Surveyors name Click “Set” once all settings are correct.  

Mode: Bluetooth Click “Set”  

Select “Search for Bluetooth devices”

12d will search for all Bluetooth devices available. This will take approx 1 minute.  

Instrument serial number will appear in the list.
Select the serial number that you are connecting to.  

If all settings are correct, the 12d Field menu will appear (see below) and then a survey can be started.
